Our dedicated team encompasses a broad range of experienced health professions, including mental health nurses, counsellors, general nurses, physiotherapists, and a leading occupational health consultant.
Our services include delivering Occupational Health assessments, physiotherapy interventions, education & training, and a range of mental health services. The services are primarily delivered to individuals on the DWP’s Access to Work, Work & Health Programme, JETS and Restart programmes.
In addition, our corporate Occupational Health division (OH One) offers a comprehensive range of flexible and affordable Occupational Health services to employers.
About the role
The role of the Mental Health Trainer is to deliver training, courses and workshops within our Education & Training Division, either on our employability programmes to individuals that are unemployed, or in a corporate setting to employees.
Examples of the courses we deliver include: Mental Health for Managers, Employee Mental Health Resilience, Improving Confidence & Motivation for Work, Anxiety & Depression Management and Stress Management. All courses/workshops are developed and training will be provided for you. However, you will have the freedom and autonomy within the role to adapt the learning content and delivery style to meet the learning outcomes. You will also be expected to support the development of new content and workshops
The hybrid working model is home-based working, with a requirement to also deliver on-site training for employers when required. Any on-site delivery would typically be across Central England/Home Counties, and expenses include mileage and overnight stay (if required).
You will have the flexibility of a home based role, but with the connectivity of a great team, and the opportunity to still get some face to face contact.
Essential
• Teaching or training qualifications and/or experience
• NMC Registered Mental Health Nurse or BACP registered Counsellor (or equivalent)
• Minimum 2 years mental health experience
• Must have a suitable private space to work from (IT equipment and DSE assessment/equipment will be provided).
• Car driver
• Very good IT skills (e.g. developing presentations, using clinical systems)
Desirable
• Experience working within Disability or Employability Sectors
• Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) qualifications
• Full time preferred, part time considered
Key Role Requirements
• Effectively engage with individuals 18+ yrs in a group setting, both online and face to face
• Be driven and passionate to make a difference
• Manage challenging behaviours during the courses/workshops
• Ability to motivate individuals to drive change
• Deliver training online typically to groups of 15 individuals
• Deliver training face to face at employers work sites typically across Central England
• Peer-review other trainers within the team to support service development
• Effective time management when working autonomously
• Play a proactive role in continuing service development
Part-time hours: 22.5-37 per week
